In 1997 Paulo Barbosa joined the Conservat\u00f3rio de M\u00fasica Calouste Gulbenkian in Braga, with the teacher Paulo Marques Matias, where he concluded the 8th Grade in Clarinet.<\/p>\n
He has played in concerts with diverse orchestras, including the: Orquestra dos Conservat\u00f3rios Nacionais, Orquestra Sinf\u00f3nica da ESART, Orquestra do Norte and the Orquestra de C\u00e2mara de Braga. He was also involved, during the summer of 2007, in the European Union Youth Wind Orchestra.<\/p>\n
He has received various awards for his chamber music, with a special mention at the 3\u00ba Concorso Internazionale dei Duchi d\u2019Acquaviva \u2013 Atri \u2013 It\u00e1lia and he was awarded 3rd place in the Concurso Pr\u00e9mio Jovens M\u00fasicos (RDP \u2013 2007) Higher Level. He has recorded 2 pieces of music for clarinet quartets for R\u00e1dio Antena.<\/p>\n
He participated in \u201cFestival Primavera Musical\u201d, also in chamber music, and as a clarinet soloist at the Festival para Jovens M\u00fasicos \u201cCom Clave de Sol\u201d, organised by the Casa da M\u00fasica.<\/p>\n
His musical journey has led him to various countries, such as Spain, France, Italy, Belgium, Germany and Luxemburg.<\/p>\n
He has a degree in Clarinet, from the Escola Superior de Artes Aplicadas of Castelo Branco, where he was tutored by Carlos Pi\u00e7arra Alves.<\/p>\n
Since 2008 he has been an integral part of Ensemble Risoluto, together with Soprano S\u00edlvia Pinto and Pianist Jos\u00e9 Paulo Ribeira.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
